ABOUT ME

SLEEP CONSULTANT SPECIALISING IN TWINS AND MULTIPLES
Nearly a decade of specialist sleep support experience - from a twin mum who knows what exhausted really means
I've Been Exactly Where You Are
I'm Sally Unterberger, a baby and child sleep consultant specialising in twins, multiples and premature babies. But before I was a sleep consultant, I was a shattered twin mum sitting in the dark wondering if I would ever sleep again.
Sleep training my own twins changed my life so profoundly that it led me to completely change my career.

I trained with Baby Sleep The Night™ in 2018 and have spent nearly a decade since helping hundreds of families — from singletons to triplets, from full term babies to those born weeks early — find their way to restful nights.
What I bring isn't just knowledge. It's the lived experience of having done this myself, in duplicate, and come out the other side.

My Approach
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all sleep solutions. Every child is different. Every family is different. And if you have twins or multiples, your situation is genuinely unlike anything a generic sleep guide was written for.
My support is always built around three things:
— Your little one's age, stage and individual temperament
— Your family's routine, environment and sleep associations
— A plan you actually feel comfortable following
I also believe that supporting families goes beyond behavioural and routine-based approaches, and where it feels aligned I bring a more holistic lens to my work.
What about the tears?
This is the question I'm asked most often, so let me be honest with you.
I am not a fan of methods that ask you to close the door and leave your baby to cry alone for as long as it takes. I won't pretend those methods don't exist, but they're not how I like to work.
What I will say is this — most of us resist change, and babies and children are no different. When we shift sleep patterns there is often some protest, and that protest usually involves some tears. I can't promise you there will be none. What I can promise is that my methods never ask you to leave your little one alone for indefinite periods if they are distressed, and I will always be with you every step of the way.
Most families see significant results within the first week. Many within the first few nights.

Safe Sleep Always Comes First
All of my guidance strictly follows the UK safe sleep guidelines and current SIDS prevention advice as recommended by the Lullaby Trust. This is non-negotiable in everything I do — every course, every 1:1 plan, every conversation.
If you have any questions about my qualifications, training or approach before working with me, I warmly welcome you to get in touch. That is exactly what the free discovery call is for.
Alongside my sleep work, I’ve always been drawn to understanding people at a deeper level — what makes us tick, how we’re each uniquely wired, and why the same approach doesn’t work for everyone. Human Design has become one of the most profound tools I use for exactly that.
From understanding your child’s energy type, to discovering why your sleep environment needs to feel completely different from your partner’s — your energetic blueprint touches everything. I now offer introductory Human Design readings for those who want to explore their own chart, or the chart of their children, to understand their unique blueprint and raise children who are empowered to be fully themselves. Questions I'm Often Asked
Is this sleep training? Not in the way most people fear. I don't use harsh cry-it-out methods. My approach is gentle, gradual and always tailored to your family. Think of it less as "training" and more as helping your baby learn something new — with lots of support along the way.
What qualifications do you have? I am certified through Baby Sleep The Night™, one of the UK's leading sleep consultant training programmes, and have been practising since 2018. All of my advice adheres strictly to Lullaby Trust safe sleep guidelines. There is currently no government-regulated qualification for sleep consultants in the UK — what matters most is whether a consultant's advice keeps babies safe. Mine always does.
